week 39 - this is it!
So - here I am - four days from becoming a mother of three and I haven't really had time to think about it! We have been in our new house almost two weeks and still have boxes all around. Not everywhere but still more than I had wanted out at this time. Luckily DQ and I are off this week, together, so we have gotten a lot done. Or I should say DQ has done a lot of work. As much as I hate to admit it, I am getting tired. Haven't been sleeping well and now I have a cold or allergies and that isn't helping.
We had our last doctors appointment today. It went well. Whew -weight is good, BP fine, measurements right on track. I have to go back tomorrow for all my pre-admit testing. I think it will all sink in then. We have to go up to the 5th floor, the baby floor, and I might actually come to grips that this is actually happening! The move has really occupied my thoughts, although each time I go into the baby's room I think - oh, I need to pack, or OH, there's something else we need to buy. At least the bassinet is up, so when she is born she has somewhere to sleep!
My mum arrives on Saturday and I can't wait. I just may cry when I see her!
Off to have some tea to help with the cold.
til...when??

Week 38 - almost there
I know, I know. It is Thursday. But I go to the dr. on Thursday so it makes more sense to wait a day and then post!
This past Saturday we moved to our new place. It is out of the dorms, more square footage with LOTS of storage. The lay-out is a little, well, different but we are making it work.
The move itself went very well. The weather was gorgeous - in the 60's. The movers were great and we had help from super friends. I was on my feet for way too long. Sunday morning I woke up very swollen. DQ wouldn't let me do anything all day. I was confined to bed. It was hard to just lay there while there was so much to be done. That said, since I went through pre-eclampsia once I didn't want to take chances. I have come home each day and rested for a while, then worked a little, then rested, then worked, and so on.
So at the doctor today I was assured I do not have pre-eclampsia. One symptom is weight gain and I lost two pounds this week. How crazy is that! My swelling is normal and my BP was awesome. It was about the best visit yet. We were seen right away and were in and out in no time flat. I go back again next Thursday for my last visit before the big day!!

Doctors visit
me again - I went to the dr today. All is well. My BP was a little high but I had been sitting in traffic for over an hour and was late for my appointment. Needless to say I was tense! My weight was good - I stayed the same. Everything looked good. My own doctor was not there but I saw the other doctor that would be assisting in my c-section. Her name is Heidi!! How cool is that!

Two pics from the shower last week!
Week 37
Wow - nineteen days to go. I feel very big now. There is no doubt I am pregnant, no matter what my second grade students say! Thanks to a surprise baby shower on Thursday, the baby now has somewhere to sleep! My good friends at work spoiled me rotten with a gorgeous shower and lots of lovely clothes and baby gear for the little one. I was a wreck worrying about having something for the baby to sleep in but now she has a pack and play so we are all set! I also put the car seat in the car and rearranged the seats so the boys can sit in the way back.
This upcoming week our move is the big news. As I type this we are three days away and almost ready. I would say a majority of the house is packed. Everything is in a box - the movers won't move anything that isn't in a box so we are even making our own boxes, just so stuff will fit! I have mixed feeling about moving. I have been in the dorms for five years now and feel close to "my boys." It will be weird being across the street. My last night with them is next Wednesday. I just might cry!
